The preseason is almost mercifully over for the San Francisco 49ers<\/a>. They face the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday evening at Levi’s Stadium.<\/p>\n

Their pair of exhibition games have been littered with injuries to rookies, starters and other key depth pieces that leave the club limping toward the regular season.<\/p>\n

The good news for the 49ers is Saturday’s preseason finale is their last game action until the season opener more than two weeks later on Sept. 7 in Seattle. That will give the club ample time to get healthy. The good news on that front is their core group of stars, none of which we’re likely to see against the Chargers, is healthy.<\/p>\n

Getting through Week 3 of the preseason healthy is going to be the No. 1 key to the game.<\/p>\n
