The Pittsburgh Steelers held their breath as an organization in Thursday\u2019s preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers. First-round pick Derrick Harmon suffered a knee injury that required him to be carted to the locker room from the sideline, which led many to fear the worst. However, a serious catastrophe was avoided.<\/p>\n
Mike Tomlin revealed after the game that Harmon had a knee sprain. NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that it is a sprained MCL for Harmon and that he could miss roughly a month. Instead, it looks like Pittsburgh could have him back on the field sooner than that.<\/p>\n
\u201c[The] Steelers have no intention of putting Harmon on IR and think it\u2019s possible he will miss only one game,\u201d Dulac reports on X.<\/p>\n
The Steelers will take on the Jets two weeks from Sunday. Their home opener will be in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.<\/p>\n
