Ian Eagle has one of the best voices in all of sports, as he\u2019s working around the clock all year long to bring fans the best experience for NFL, NBA and college basketball games. He has been on the mic for plenty of Denver Broncos games throughout his many years in broadcasting, and was on the call for Aaron Gordon\u2019s game-winning 3-pointer for the Denver Nuggets on Monday night<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eagle joined 104.3 The Fan<\/a> on Tuesday morning to talk Nuggets and Broncos, and had plenty of good things to say about the Broncos.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just really impressed with how [Bo Nix] carried himself throughout the season. Obviously, the connection between [Sean] Payton and Nix, you could feel the trust level. I had them early, had them in that Jets game early in the season, when Payton in our production meeting, basically went on and on to say, no, no, this guy\u2019s the guy, and we know it. And it was still when the stats weren\u2019t backing up all of the plaudits,\u201d Eagle said.<\/p>\n

Eagle was on the call for Denver\u2019s game in Week 4 against the New York Jets, a gritty 10-9 victory for the Broncos that helped carry momentum from the first victory of the Bo Nix era in Week 3. It was freezing cold and pouring rain in the Meadowlands that day and Nix was playing arguably his worst game of the same, but the Broncos were able to gut out a victory thanks to a missed field goal late in the game by New York. Nix finished with just 60 yards in the air on the day, but his intangibles were still on display for Eagle and the rest of the NFL world.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Broncos, it was really a starting point, and I just saw a confident quarterback. Think there\u2019s a belief within that team, and there\u2019s certainly a belief with Sean Payton, that the guy knows how to win, knows how to run a program. He\u2019s a problem solver. He\u2019ll figure it out. He\u2019ll do it in his way. By the way, he\u2019s not going to change for anybody. He\u2019s going to do it the way that he does it,\u201d Eagle said.<\/p>\n

While Eagle has had his hands full with calling high-stakes basketball games during the NFL offseason, he\u2019s still been able to keep track of all that\u2019s going on in the league, and he\u2019s taken note of what the Broncos have done so far to try and help Nix take another large step towards becoming an All-Pro quarterback.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would tell you that it\u2019s a lot of positive energy in the off season, from a national perspective, with Denver, that they can take the next step,\u201d Eagle said.<\/p>\n

For Denver sports fans wanting to hear his voice, Eagle should be back on the call for Game 2 of Nuggets-Thunder on Wednesday night after he called Game 1 and Game 7 against the LA Clippers. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be televised on TNT.<\/p>\n
