A former Clemson WRU member had a strong performance Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Cornell Powell was signed by the Houston Texans days before Saturday\u2019s preseason game.  Powell seized the opportunity to make his case for making the 53 man roster with the Texans.<\/p>\n<p>The former XFL standout led the Texans with six receptions for 63 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Powell made his case for a return to the NFL with a strong XFL season where he caught seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"This weekend\u2019s preseason games were critical for those battling to make NFL rosters.
