The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are waiving Shilo Sanders. That’s the report that came out on Sunday, and it’s true.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t mean Sanders will never put on Bucs equipment again, though.<\/p>\n

According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio<\/a>, Sanders could still end up back with Tampa Bay, potentially on the practice squad.<\/p>\n

Sanders didn’t help his chances of making the roster when he threw a punch Saturday night to earn an ejection against the Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n

Here’s how Florio laid out the latest information on Sunday:<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re told that the Buccaneers enjoyed having Shilo in the building, viewing the son of Deion Sanders as a good kid, who was at all times respectful to everyone. Shilo was also immediately remorseful following the incident that disqualified him from the second quarter of the game against the Bills.<\/p>\n

“Sanders could, in theory, sign with the Bucs\u2019 practice squad, after clearing waivers. The bigger question is whether he\u2019s good enough to compete and to play at the NFL level.”<\/p>\n

Sanders had made four preseason tackles before his August was cut a little short by the ejection.<\/p>\n

At Colorado, he was a solid safety who was projected by some to go as high as the fifth round of the draft.<\/p>\n

He went undrafted and signed with the Bucs less than an hour after the seventh round was over.<\/p>\n

This preseason, Sanders had been complimented early on by head coach Todd Bowles, but he never really flashed and he had the bad ending.<\/p>\n

A different team could claim him off waivers, but if he passes through, the Buccaneers could put him on the practice squad in hopes of further development.<\/p>\n

Sanders will take the chance wherever he can get it at this point.<\/p>\n
