The Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>‘ rookie class showcased themselves during the preseason this year. While the games didn’t all go in favor of Tampa Bay, they helped them secure two wins. With the majority of the class being on defense, it also allowed them to be a part of what seems like a turnaround that head coach Todd Bowles asked for, with forcing more turnovers.<\/p>\n

All in all, this is looking to be a productive rookie class for the Bucs and could help them achieve the ultimate prize in 2025.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Jenna Laine did a review<\/a> of the entire rookie class for the Bucs, and one of the players she highlighted was the new starting nickel, Jacob Parrish. The Kansas State<\/a> cornerback turned NFL starter has shown he can handle the bright lights and the speed of the league.<\/p>\n

Laine notes, “Coach Todd Bowles believes Parrish is the fastest guy on the roster, and his physical traits and ball skills make up for his 5-foot-10 height. He has learned the Bucs’ defense at both nickel and on the outside and could be their starting nickelback for Week 1.”<\/p>\n

He demonstrated a knack for finding the ball, with his speed being particularly evident, and showed a wide range of coverage ability. Not many corners on the Bucs have the ability that Parrish does, so he is going to be a breath of fresh air to a secondary that desperately needs it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ rookie class showcased themselves during the preseason this year.
