Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson discusses contract situation<\/p>\n

Aidan Hutchinson answered questions about a potential contract extension after Detroit Lions’ joint practice with the Houston Texans, Aug. 21, 2025.<\/p>\n

The Detroit Lions<\/a> lost one of their top special teams players to what coach Dan Campbell called a potentially “significant” injury in their preseason finale Saturday against the Houston Texans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Linebacker Ezekiel Turner left the game early in the second half with a lower right leg injury.<\/p>\n

Turner, who was helped off the field by trainers and taken to the locker room by a medical cart, was on crutches in the locker room after the game and told the Free Press he possibly tore his Achilles tendon.<\/p>\n

“That could be tough,” Campbell said. “We\u2019re getting tests on that. That was a significant injury it looks like.”<\/p>\n

Turner played in nine games after signing with the Lions<\/a> last November and was competing for a backup linebacker spot this summer.<\/p>\n

Graham Glasgow, Sione Vaki injury updates<\/p>\n

Campbell said starting center Graham Glasgow avoided serious injury in Thursday’s joint practice with the Texans<\/a>, when he left late in practice<\/a> with a lower leg injury. Running back Sione Vaki “could be (out) a tick longer” with an injury that’s “not a major thing,” Campbell said.<\/p>\n

Vaki, another one of the Lions’ best special teams players, has battled hamstring injuries all camp.<\/p>\n
