WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. \u2013 Rams head coach Sean McVay on Monday said offensive lineman Alaric Jackson<\/a> (blood clots in lower leg) is expected to practice fully for the first time next Monday.<\/p>\n

Jackson so far has only been able to do individual drills and participate in jog-throughs. McVay said last week that Jackson is able “to be physically active, there are just some restrictions in regard to being able to participate in some of the full-team activities,” but that is scheduled to change next Monday when the Rams begin preparing for Week 1 against the Texans.<\/p>\n

“He’s good,” McVay said. “He’s going to partake in next Monday’s practice, Wednesday and Thursday, and then he’ll just do the jog through stuff on Friday. So it’s really cool.”<\/p>\n

McVay said there’s been “a lot of work behind the scenes of being educated on” how to manage the condition and the required medication.<\/p>\n

“I think we’ve got a good plan in place,” McVay said. “That is something, you know, whether you talk about Matthew’s back or the thing with Alaric, that I certainly have never dealt with before. So I think that demands flexibility, but we feel really good. I mean, he has put so much work in. I think he’s handled it like a total stud, and I’m really happy for him that all things are pointing to him being ready to go and being able to manage this.”<\/p>\n

\n Stafford remains full participant, slated to be ready for Week 1 barring unforeseen setback<\/p>\n

McVay again emphasized it is a true day-to-day approach with Stafford, but QB1 continues to trend in a positive direction after logging yet another full practice Monday.<\/p>\n

McVay said Stafford has a “full participant” and been “really in everything” in practice and “feel good each of the next mornings” since returning last Monday.<\/p>\n

“I can’t see into the future, but if you look at what the last week has entailed, feel really good,” McVay said. “There’s nothing that would leave me to believe, unless we have an unforeseen setback, that he’s not going to be ready to roll against the Texans.”<\/p>\n

\n Stewart in concussion protocol<\/p>\n

McVay also said Monday that rookie outside linebacker Josaiah Stewart<\/a> is in the concussion protocol.<\/p>\n
