{"id":323904,"date":"2025-08-28T08:48:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T08:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/323904\/"},"modified":"2025-08-28T08:48:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T08:48:15","slug":"dallas-cowboys-trade-rumors-packers-interest-in-defender-micah-parsons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/323904\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas Cowboys trade rumors: Packers interest in defender Micah Parsons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">There has been a lot of chatter on the internet about the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons obviously, but as of late that chatter has also involved a third party\u2026 the Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">You may have seen that the Packers have been \u201cconnected\u201d to a trade offer for the Cowboys\u2019 star pass rusher, but these have not come from the standard NFL insiders and reporters. To date there has been nothing along those lines, and what has been out there has been internet fodder more than anything, but that all changed a bit on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">ProFootballTalk\u2019s Mike Florio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/source-packers-have-interest-in-micah-parsons\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> that the Packers are definitely interested in Parsons, but the Cowboys have apparently not tolerated any of it and the noise around the situation is not as intense as the internet would have had anyone believe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1teeyfa8 ls9zuh1\">In response to recent indications from the Twitter user known as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RickeyScoops\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">RickeyScoops<\/a>\u201d (who undoubtedly owns real estate on the NFL\u2019s grapevine) that the Packers want to trade for Parsons, we\u2019ve done some digging. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Packers are \u201cinterested.\u201d However, the interest is \u201cnowhere near the smoke that\u2019s out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">To be fair this \u201creport\u201d that the Packers are \u201cinterested\u201d in Micah Parsons isn\u2019t really much of anything if we take it as it is. Who wouldn\u2019t be interested in Micah Parsons? This is like saying every team is interested in Patrick Mahomes or Myles Garrett. Everybody holds \u201cinterest\u201d on some level.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1teeyfa8 ls9zuh1\">As Florio pointed out, the Packers\u2019 interest doesn\u2019t matter as long as the Cowboys choose to hang onto Parsons.
