One of the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>‘ more surprising cuts to get the roster to 53 players was running back DeeJay Dallas. He was signed two a three-year contract in 2024 as a free agent and was the team’s top kick returner, in addition to being a core special teams player.<\/p>\n

He has landed with one of the Cardinals’ opponents.<\/p>\n

He signed with the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers<\/a>, whom the Cardinals face in Week 2 in their home opener.<\/p>\n

Dallas averaged 30.6 yards per kick return and had a 96-yard touchdown on one.<\/p>\n

He logged 275 snaps on special teams, playing in all 17 games. He also had 49 rushing yards and three catches for 11 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

The Cardinals chose to keep Bam Knight as the fourth running back on the roster instead of Dallas, and Michael Carter signed with the practice squad, so Dallas went elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The Panthers come to Arizona to face the Cardinals on September 14 at 4:05 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
