The Cleveland Browns<\/a> made a draft day trade, and now they look like clear winners after Jerry Jones the Dallas Cowboys cast off star pass rusher Micah Parsons.<\/p>\n

When the Browns traded down from the second overall pick to the fifth overall pick, the Browns were also given the 2026 first round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>, their 2025 second round pick (running back Quinshon Judkins<\/a>) their fourth round pick (running back Dylan Sampson), and their sixth round pick (used to trade up for quarterback Shedeur Sanders).<\/p>\n

The Cowboys, who just dealt Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, received only two first round picks<\/a> and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark in return.<\/p>\n

The Browns received more than the Cowboys did for Micah Parsons<\/p>\n

Using the Fitzgerald-Spielberger NFL Draft trade value chart<\/a>, the Browns came out with more draft capital for trading the rights to Hunter than the Cowboys did for a proven All-Pro pass rusher in his prime.<\/p>\n

Adding up the difference between the second pick and the fifth pick, the value of picks 36 and 104, and then even calculating the Jaguars’ 2026 pick as a mid-first rounder, the Browns came out with a value of over 3,800. Even giving the Packers’ picks the value of a mid-first rounder, which is the maximum of what that pick could become given the competitive roster of Green Bay, that equals just around 3,200.<\/p>\n

Of course, a veteran like Kenny Clark has to be included in the value as well. He is under contract with the Cowboys for the next three years with no guaranteed money. However, Clark is 30 years old and coming off the worst season of his career.<\/p>\n

So yeah, the Cowboys got worked over in this one.<\/p>\n
