The Rattlers, who have gone 0-10 each of the last two years, could be a surprise team in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Here are this week&#8217;s Austin-area top five rankings for Classes 6A, 5A and 4A\/others:<\/p>\n<p>2. Dripping Springs (1-0): Allowed just 148 passing yards in a win over defending 6A\u00a0DII champ Vandegrift<\/p>\n<p>3. Westlake (0-1): Our former No. 1 got 91 yards and a TD from RB Jarren Lopez in the loss to Prosper<\/p>\n<p>5. Cedar Ridge (1-0): Scored 49 points vs. Johnson, topping last year&#8217;s best effort of 35 points<\/p>\n<p>1. Georgetown (1-0): Beat Victoria East 27-0 after not posting a shutout in 2024<\/p>\n<p>2. Anderson (1-0): Gave up 40 points to McCallum last year but won 37-2 this season<\/p>\n<p>3. Pflugerville (1-0): Held Leander scoreless in the second half in a 21-14 win<\/p>\n<p>4. Rouse (1-0): Raiders have scored 118 points vs. Connally the last two years<\/p>\n<p>5. Hays (1-0): The 43-13 win over Elgin highlighted by a 26-point first quarter<\/p>\n<p>1. Lampasas (1-0): Blasted Fredericksburg 52-14 behind a 31-point second quarter<\/p>\n<p>2. Wimberley (1-0): Rallied from a 28-point fourth-quarter deficit to edge Canyon Lake 36-35<\/p>\n<p>3. LBJ (1-0): Jags rushed for 352 yards in a 46-13 opening win over S.A. Sam Houston<\/p>\n<p>4. Thorndale (1-0): Beat neighboring rival Thrall 31-3 to avenge last year&#8217;s 21-point loss<\/p>\n<p>5.
