The Buffalo Bills are reuniting with wide receiver Gabe Davis after one year apart.<\/p>\n
Per ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter, the Bills have signed Gabe Davis ahead of their \u201cSunday Night Football\u201d clash with Lamar Jackson\u2019s Baltimore Ravens. Davis will be on the practice squad for now as he continues to recover from a torn meniscus suffered last November, per Schefter.<\/p>\n
A fourth-round pick of the Bills in 2020, Davis earned the nickname \u201cBig Game Gabe\u201d because of his penchant for stepping up mightily in the postseason. This included a four-touchdown outing in the \u201c13 seconds\u201d game, a 42-36 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2021 AFC Divisional Round.<\/p>\n
Per Pro Football Reference<\/a>, Gabe Davis has 22 receptions for 474 yards and six touchdowns in seven career postseason games. His best statistical season came in 2022, when he caught 48 passes for 836 yards and seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n A roster spot opened up for Buffalo after defensive tackle DeWayne Carter suffered a torn Achilles<\/a> that will sideline him for all of 2025.<\/p>\n Gabe Davis Joins A Rebuilt Bills WR Room The Bills have drastically rebuilt their wide receiver depth chart since 2024, beginning with the departures of Davis and Stefon Diggs (traded to the Houston Texans). They signed Curtis Samuel to replace Davis and used the No. 33 pick on Florida State wideout Keon Coleman.<\/p>\n Last season\u2019s blockbuster trade for Amari Cooper didn\u2019t provide many results, so Buffalo happily watched him leave in free agency while signing ex-Los Angeles Chargers speedster Josh Palmer to a three-year deal.<\/p>\n Gabe Davis was caught just one year after signing a three-year, $39 million pact with the Jaguars.
