He knows where to put it away from defenders. “He’s done it for quite some time. Obviously that’s a part of his game, but there’s a lot of other areas of his game that he does well too.”<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcf0 Like all rookies, Daboll just expects outside linebacker Abdul Carter to do his job. That’s what he has done since he’s been here. There is a “wave of emotions” leading up to a player’s NFL debut, but you have to control each day from walk-through to practice and meetings. And then do it the next day. “It’s still football.”<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcf0 On the hype surrounding the defensive front: “We haven’t played a game yet.” They have worked hard and done everything they’ve been asked to do. It’s not about what everybody thinks now; it’s what they do during a game.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcf0 Second-year wide receiver Malik Nabers has “really bonded” with Wilson, not just on the field but also off it. He has seen how a professional has done it for that many years in the league. They communicate well and work after practice.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcf0 Daboll likes the “mix” of veterans in the quarterback room with rookie Jaxson Dart. The first-round pick can “emulate” how Wilson and Jameis Winston operate in terms of meeting on off-days, getting players together and throwing extra. He gets to see this is the way it should look.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcf0 Daboll will pop his head in the quarterback room and Nabers will be sitting in there with other receivers like Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton. “That communication process is really important.”<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcf0 Nabers is unique in how he sees the game through a quarterback’s eyes, which is what Daboll wants for his skill players.
