Wide receiver Jordan Watkins<\/a> (ankle) and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos<\/a> (knee) were the only active roster players to miss Wednesday’s practice due to injury. Both returned to the field, a positive sign that the 49ers are getting healthier to start the season.<\/p>\n Running back Christian McCaffrey<\/a> is a newcomer to this week’s injury report.
