Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the former Washington product is joining top 2026 free agent, Kyle Pitts, as one of the top pass-catching options in their departments. It’s hard to tell what the future holds for Otton, but since the Buccaneers had no type of discussion with Otton, the team might be moving in the right direction.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield has a ton of weapons in the offensive attack, especially after the Buccaneers took Emeka Egbuka in the draft, while they still have Chris Godwin returning and Mike Evans, Tez Johnson and Jalen McMillan all in the same lineup. Otton isn’t the most explosive tight end in the league, but he has a lot of potential to turn into something if given the right opportunity. After recording 148 receptions for 1,446 receiving yards and ten touchdowns, there should be the right moment for the tight end if Mayfield doesn’t target Otton as much. The Buccaneers have one of the worst tight end depths, so these three teams must be willing to give up something to get Otton.

Main Photo: Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images
Potential Buccaneers Trade Candidate Cade Otton May “Audition” for New Team – 3 Potential Suitors
Best Fits
Los Angeles Chargers

Despite signing Tyler Conklin this past offseason, why shouldn’t the Los Angeles Chargers sign another tight end? The team must put quarterback Justin Herbert in the most comfortable situation throughout the season, and even after their Week 1 win over the Chiefs, they can’t get complacent. Wide receiver Quentin Johnston had his flashes during the matchup, but what he’s lacking is consistency. The Chargers might as well prioritize bolstering the tight end unit that already has Conklin and Will Dissly.

Kansas City Chiefs

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs will probably keep Travis Kelce for at least one more year until he retires. It all depends on what happens here, as if Kelce wins another ring, then he may call it a career. While they do have Robert Tonyan and Noah Gray, they haven’t yet proven that they could produce much over what Kelce may pull off. Otton might not be any different if he lands in Kansas City, but it’s better what they have in depth.

He isn’t going to go out there and be Kelce 2.0, but enough to pulverize the defenders and move the chains.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars might soon be in the market for a tight end. After trading Christian Kirk and releasing Evan Engram, the team needs a fresh start in its tight end room. Brenton Strange could prove that he’s a capable weapon to take over the starting duties, but when you have a team like the Jaguars, who was once in the postseason not too long ago, they must get Otton a part of their lineup to add on the firepower that Trevor Lawrence needs.

After spending the last three seasons with the team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton could audition…

[2077
211,9341,5403,5404,2826,7,2406,922,6153,2453,6,704,250,14443,2597,2596,500,2312
0":"post-347636","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tampa-bay-buccaneers","8":"tag-buccaneers","9":"tag-cade-otton","10":"tag-chargers-featured","11":"tag-chiefs-featured","12":"tag-evan-engram","13":"tag-football","14":"tag-jacksonville-jaguars-news","15":"tag-kansas-city-chiefs-news","16":"tag-kyle-pitts","17":"tag-los-angeles-chargers-news","18":"tag-nfl","19":"tag-tampa-bay","20":"tag-tampa-bay-buccaneers","21":"tag-tampa-bay-buccaneers-news","22":"tag-tampabay","23":"tag-tampabaybuccaneers","24":"tag-travis-kelce","25":"tag-tyler-conklin
["GET
