The Green Bay Packers<\/a> pursued a trade for 2024 NFL sacks leader<\/a> and Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> defensive end Trey Hendrickson<\/a> before acquiring defensive end Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> for two first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The Packers are among the teams that called and engaged the most with Cincinnati on a potential trade for Hendrickson this offseason,” Rapoport added. Rapoport also indicated that Clark would have been involved in a trade with the Bengals as well.<\/p>\n

The Bengals are scheduled to face the Packers in an NFL Week 6 game October 12 at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field.<\/p>\n

Hendrickson’s revised deal with the Bengals<\/a> included a $14 million raise.<\/p>\n

Rapoport reported in August that the Bengals were listening to trade offers<\/a> for Hendrickson. Jordan Schultz reported<\/a> that the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts were among teams showing interest.<\/p>\n

In July, Parsons\u00a0was ranked<\/a>\u00a0in an ESPN survey among the top five NFL edge rushers.
