The long NFL offseason is over and the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> are finally ready to take the field for their 2025 season opener at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in town for an NFC South showdown to kick off Week 1. The Falcons have missed the playoffs seven years in a row but made some progress in 2024.<\/p>\n

Aside from posting their highest win total since 2017, the Falcons swept the Buccaneers last season and flirted with the playoffs late in the year. With Michael Penix Jr<\/a>. taking over at quarterback, Atlanta will attempt to finally get over hump this season.<\/p>\n
