Underwood’s performance of “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” has kicked off 13 seasons of the NFL on NBC<\/p>\n
\n\tIt\u2019s lucky No. 13 for Carrie Underwood<\/a> and : The country star teamed up with NBC\u2019s weekly NFL<\/a> game for a 13th consecutive season to sing \u201cWaiting All Day for Sunday Night,\u201d the series\u2019 theme song.<\/p>\n \n\tAfter teasing the production earlier this summer Underwood and Sunday Night Football debuted the new opening in full on Sunday night, prior to a game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. For Season 20, Underwood struts through a hallway and into an elevator in a silver coat before she begins to belt the rocking song in the new clip. She arrives onstage in a sparkly blue number, with cheerleaders and the band \u2014 complete with a string section \u2014 backing her.<\/p>\n \n\tOf course, the song, with its game-specific lyrics, was recorded well in advance.
