The Green Bay Packers did not hold a practice on Monday, but they did have a walkthrough on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders held a walkthrough on both Monday and Tuesday, so the two Week 2 foes who will be facing off on Thursday Night Football are handling things a little differently this week.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the non-participants for the Packers were guard Aaron Banks (ankle\/groin), defensive end Brenton Cox Jr. (groin), cornerback Bo Melton (shoulder) and right tackle Zach Tom (oblique). All of these players were injured in the season opener against the Detroit Lions and were unable to finish the game. If Banks is out, 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan will likely step in for him in the lineup. If Tom is out, the replacement will be some combination of Darian Kinnard and Anthony Belton, who both played on Sunday after Tom\u2019s injury. Both Cox and Melton are backups.<\/p>\n
The limited participants today were safety Zayne Anderson (knee), cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee), defensive end Micah Parsons (back), receiver Jayden Reed (foot), defensive end Barryn Sorrell (knee), linebacker Quay Walker (quadricep) and receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf). Among these players, Anderson, Hobbs and Sorrell were held out in Week 1 due to injury.<\/p>\n
Parsons, Reed and Wicks are dealing with injuries that left them limited in practice last week, but were all able to suit up and finish the game against Detroit. The only new injury seems to be to Walker, who played every snap of defense on Sunday.<\/p>\n
On the Commanders\u2019 side of the injury report, the only players who were limited or non-participants in the team\u2019s Tuesday walkthrough were third receiver Noah Brown (knee, limited), starting running back Austin Ekeler (shoulder, limited) and punter Tress Way (back, limited).
