The Cleveland Browns should\u2019ve won their opening game against the Cincinnati Bengals, despite the issues they had coming into the season.<\/p>\n

If the Browns had simply made the kicks they were supposed to make, they’d be sitting at 1-0 instead of 0-1. As Cleveland has found out over the past few years, its mistakes cause losses in tough ways.<\/p>\n

There have been numerous questions about the Browns over the past few months, primarily regarding the quarterback position. Some believe that Shedeur Sanders or former Oregon standout Dillon Gabriel should be starting.<\/p>\n

After Sunday’s loss, those questions continued.<\/p>\n

However, it’s a bit unfair to suggest that Flacco shouldn’t play, considering he was more than satisfactory in the Browns’ loss. In fact, Flacco was decent, throwing for 290 yards and completing 31 of 45 attempts. He threw two interceptions, which wasn\u2019t ideal, but for the most part, he was more than fine.<\/p>\n

Despite that, Shannon Sharpe went on a rant about the Browns’ decisions, stating that the organization has to move on from Flacco because he isn’t the answer and either start Gabriel or Sanders, no matter which one it is.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why y\u2019all fooling with Joe Flacco,\u201d Sharpe said<\/a>. \u201cY\u2019all know Joe Flacco\u2019s not taking y\u2019all anywhere. He is not your quarterback of the future. If I\u2019m going to lose, I\u2019m going to lose trying to find out who my quarterback is. That\u2019s just me. I don\u2019t care if it\u2019s Gabriel, I don\u2019t care if it\u2019s Shedeur.\u201d<\/p>\n

It’ll be interesting to see what direction Cleveland heads in, especially in the back end of the season. If the organization believes that Gabriel or Sanders would be the right pick, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them get an opportunity to play.<\/p>\n
