It’s hard to find a better roster than the Green Bay Packers in the NFC. Look at the Week 1<\/a> performances from top teams in the conference, even the Philadelphia Eagles, and you could easily argue that the Packers had the most impressive game of all with their 27-13 beating<\/a> of the Detroit Lions.<\/p>\n

Quarterback Jordan Love<\/a> knows how good the roster is. But keeping up the performance level that the team had on Sunday is the biggest challenge, and Love knows that’s the real challenge to reach the goals the group has.<\/p>\n

“I think we’ve got a really good team. That\u2019s one thing we’ve known, but a roster is just one thing. We’ve got to go out there on Sunday, Thursday, whatever day it is, and play our best ball and execute at a high level,” Love said on Tuesday. “That was the cool part about Sunday, we did that in the first half. We went out there in all three phases and played at a very high level. It’s one of those things we’ve got to keep up. Each week is a new test and a new team coming in here. It’s a great start, but we just have to keep building on it.”<\/p>\n

The next challenge comes on Thursday, as the Packers play their second consecutive game at Lambeau Field. This time around, it’s the team that eliminated the Lions from the playoffs last season, the Washington Commanders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Test for the offensive line depth<\/p>\n

On Monday, both right tackle Zach Tom (oblique) and left guard Aaron Banks (ankle\/groin)<\/a> were listed as not practicing\u2014it was an estimation, since the Packers actually didn’t have any activity on the field.<\/p>\n

Those issues could stress the Packers’ offensive line depth. If Tom and Banks can’t play, Green Bay will have to utilize a combination including former first-round pick Jordan Morgan and recently-acquired Darian Kinnard or second-round rookie Anthony Belton.<\/p>\n

“It’s one of those things where, depending on what happens Monday to Thursday, we might have some guys out there who haven’t been out there,” Love mentioned. “So we just have to adjust on the fly. We\u2019ve got to get those guys as many reps as we can, walkthroughs and things like that, just hearing the calls. These guys are all pros, and I’ve got confidence they’ll be able to go out there and do their job. It’s just a matter of getting your mind mentally ready for whatever might happen.”<\/p>\n

This Week 2 game is particularly important because the Packers don’t play at Lambeau Field again before Oct. 12<\/a>. Over the next few weeks, Green Bay plays at the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys, then it has a bye in Week 5. Kicking the season off on a high note against two NFC contenders would be a huge step towards proving the Packers can truly be what their talent level indicates.<\/p>\n
