{"id":357147,"date":"2025-09-10T15:25:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T15:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/357147\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T15:25:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T15:25:10","slug":"louisiana-sports-hall-of-fame-adds-dose-of-hollywood-with-joe-horn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/357147\/","title":{"rendered":"Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame adds dose of &#8220;Hollywood&#8221; with Joe Horn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/team\/history\/legends\/joe-horn\" title=\"New Orleans Saints Legend: Joe Horn\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Horn<\/a> caught 523 passes for 7,622 yards and 50 touchdowns during a standout, flamboyant, seven-year career with the New Orleans Saints.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame reeled in &#8220;Hollywood,&#8221; as Horn was announced as a member of the Class of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The four-time Pro Bowler, a Saint from 2000-06 who was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2010, is one of nine LSHOF inductees in &#8217;26.<\/p>\n<p>He joins LSU women&#8217;s basketball player and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Sylvia Fowles, a four-time USA Olympic gold medalist; LSU men&#8217;s basketball coach John Brady, who won 190 games in 10 seasons and led LSU to three regular-season SEC championships and to a Final Four run in 2006; Louisiana-Lafayette catcher Jonathan Lucroy, a two-time All-Star in his 12-year major league baseball career; LSU center Todd McCLure, who crafted a 14-year NFL career and is a member of the Falcons Ring of Honor; Northwestern State men&#8217;s basketball coach Mike McConathy, who won 682 games as a college coach; prep girls basketball coach Dewain Strother, the second-winningest high school girls basketball coach who won five state titles at Florien High; Bills and Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams, a three-time Pro Bowler; and LSU baseball star Warren Morris, who was inducted as a contributor (Louisiana Sports Ambassador).<\/p>\n<p>Horn&#8217;s flash matched his substance in New Orleans: He left as the franchise all-time leader in touchdown receptions, a total that later was surpassed by Marques Colston (72) and Jimmy Graham (55).
