Green Bay Packers (1-0) linebacker Micah Parsons<\/a> is officially questionable<\/a> for Thursday\u2019s Week 2 home contest against the Washington Commanders (1-0). Parsons, who has been dealing with a back injury, was listed as questionable last week and ended up playing 29 snaps in Green Bay\u2019s 27-13 Week 1 win over the Detroit Lions (0-1). <\/p>\n

Four other Packers are questionable: cornerback\u00a0Nate Hobbs<\/a>\u00a0(knee), right tackle\u00a0Zach Tom<\/a>\u00a0(oblique), left guard\u00a0Aaron Banks<\/a>\u00a0(ankle\/groin), safety\u00a0Zayne Anderson\u00a0(knee). Defensive lineman Brenton Cox Jr.<\/a> (groin) and cornerback Bo Melton<\/a> (shoulder) have been ruled out. <\/p>\n

Parsons, making his team debut, was effective in those 29 snaps, recording a sack and generating three pressures. He revealed Tuesday he essentially talked his way into more playing time against Detroit. <\/p>\n

\u201cI told [the defensive coaches] the other day when they were talking to me about the snap counts, it\u2019s like, \u2018Man, we could run gassers, we could be in practice and you give me these plays, we can run to the ball, but at the end of the day, you\u2019ve got to let me push through some things,’\u201d Parsons said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN<\/a>. \u201c\u2018You\u2019ve got to let me get tired and get wore out out there so that way I can become better and get better.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s when it was like, \u2018OK, your reps can go up.\u2019 Sometimes you\u2019ve got to fight for your own right to play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Micah Parsons vs. Jayden Daniels <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a quick turnaround this week for Green Bay, so we\u2019ll see if Parsons sees an increase in snaps against Washington. Parsons is looking forward to going head-to-head against the Commanders and quarterback Jayden Daniels<\/a>. He has faced Daniels twice, compiling 4.5 sacks in those matchups. Containing Daniels will be key for the Packers, which Parsons is well aware of. <\/p>\n

\u201cI guess that just depends what type of players you got,\u201d Parsons said. \u201cWe got horse engines now, like I don\u2019t see nobody outrunning me from the edge and stuff, and I played \u2019em a bunch. He knows it\u2019s different. It\u2019s different. He\u2019s used to them 6-5, 260 D-ends. This thing 245, 250, you know what I mean? That engine\u2019s a little bit different than them \u201980s. <\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s just pick and choosing. I just gotta make sure I get vertical if I\u2019m gonna take the inside move and make sure that he don\u2019t outrun me to our pinpoint.
