{"id":35915,"date":"2025-05-09T08:25:14","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T08:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/35915\/"},"modified":"2025-05-09T08:25:14","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T08:25:14","slug":"desmond-ridder-not-expected-to-attend-rookie-minicamp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/35915\/","title":{"rendered":"Desmond Ridder not expected to attend rookie minicamp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/broncoswire.usatoday.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Denver Broncos<\/a> are holding a rookie minicamp this weekend for their seven draft picks, 15 undrafted free agents and more than <a href=\"https:\/\/broncoswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/broncos\/2025\/04\/26\/denver-broncos-2025-undrafted-free-agent-tracker\/83259152007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">two dozen tryout players<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The most notable of those tryout players <a href=\"https:\/\/broncoswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/broncos\/2025\/05\/06\/broncos-news-qb-desmond-ridder-try-out\/83485305007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">was expected to be<\/a> veteran quarterback Desmond Ridder.<\/p>\n<p>With the start of minicamp now just one day away, it appears that Ridder won&#8217;t be in attendance after all.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ParkerJGabriel\/status\/1920582837729685894\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Denver Post&#8217;s Parker Gabriel<\/a> reported Thursday that Ridder &#8220;had a scheduling conflict that didn\u2019t allow him to get to Denver this weekend.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ridder, 25, has spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders in his career. He&#8217;s 8-10 as a starter with 4,295 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns against 14 interceptions and 18 fumbles.<\/p>\n<p>Of the <a href=\"https:\/\/broncoswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/broncos\/2025\/04\/26\/denver-broncos-2025-undrafted-free-agent-tracker\/83259152007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">24 other known players<\/a> invited to tryout at minicamp is only one quarterback: <a href=\"https:\/\/broncoswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/broncos\/2025\/04\/27\/denver-broncos-news-qb-rbs-invited-to-rookie-minicamp\/83318355007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Blake Stenstrom<\/a>.
