FOXBORO \u2014 Don\u2019t expect to see Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez on the field Sunday against the Dolphins.<\/p>\n
Gonzalez didn\u2019t practice all week and hasn\u2019t been on the field since late July, when he injured his hamstring. Gonzalez and defensive end Keion White were the lone players absent from Friday\u2019s practice, the final session of the week before the Patriots leave for Miami on Saturday.<\/p>\n
White has been absent all week with an illness. It would also be surprising to see him on the field Sunday, though we\u2019ll learn more from head coach Mike Vrabel on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Alex Austin is set to fill in for Gonzalez opposite Carlton Davis III. Anfernee Jennings and Elijah Ponder could take on greater roles if White can\u2019t play.
