Philadelphia defensive tackle Jalen Carter<\/a> isn\u2019t the only player being fined for an incident Week 1\u2019s Cowboys-Eagles matchup.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, the NFL announced that Dallas Cowboys left tackle Tyler Guyton<\/a> was being fined $12,172 for unnecessary roughness. Guyton was specifically fined for a play that involved Eagles pass rusher Jalyx Hunt.<\/p>\n

During the season-opening showdown, Guyton locked on Hunt before he threw a left-handed, open-faced jab against Hunt\u2019s helmet. No flag was thrown on the play.<\/p>\n

Guyton\u2019s play went viral on social media<\/a> after Dallas\u2019 24-20 loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want our guys to play on the edge and not go over the edge,\u201d Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe attacked that game from a very, very physical and violent standpoint.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, the NFL announced that Carter was suspended without pay for one game after spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.<\/a> Because Carter was ejected without appearing in a play, the league said it considers the suspension to have been served and he will forfeit his check from the game.<\/p>\n

Several Cowboys and Eagles players were fined for various actions in Week 1. Cowboys linebacker Marist Liufau ($7,186) and Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean ($11,593) were fined for facemasks. Meanwhile, Eagles pass rusher Nolan Smith was fined $11,593 for taunting. Eagles cornerback Jakorian Bennett closed out the list with a $23,186 fine for a hip-drop tackle.<\/p>\n
