Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick, is not banned from the Tar Heels\u2019 team facility, UNC said Friday in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina football facilities,\u201d an athletic department spokesperson said in a statement, noting there were \u201cfalse reports\u201d about her role. \u201cJordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick\u2019s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina football and the university.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statement disputed a Friday report from former ESPN reporter and personality Pablo Torre, who released an episode<\/a> of his podcast, \u201cPablo Torre Finds Out,\u201d centered around the working relationship between Belichick, 73, and Hudson, 24.<\/p>\n Hudson\u2019s role has been under scrutiny in recent weeks following her involvement with a \u201cCBS Sunday Morning\u201d interview<\/a> with Belichick promoting his new book, The Art of Winning. CBS called Hudson a \u201cconstant presence,\u201d and she interjected when a question arose about how the couple met.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not talking about that,\u201d Hudson said off camera.<\/p>\n After the interview aired, Belichick said in a statement that the segment was \u201cselectively edited\u201d to suggest a \u201cfalse narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n Belichick said he informed his book publicist that any promotional interviews would center only around the book\u2019s content. CBS said there were no preconditions to the interview.<\/p>\n Hudson and Belichick have said they met on a flight in 2021 and began dating in 2023. In Belichick\u2019s book, released this week, he referred to Hudson as his \u201cidea mill\u201d and \u201ccreative muse.\u201d<\/p>\n Hudson is scheduled to compete in the Miss Maine pageant beginning Saturday. She was first runner-up in the 2024 pageant.<\/p>\n Belichick, who won six Super Bowls as the New England Patriots\u2019 coach, was fired following the 2023 season when the team went 4-13, their third losing season in four years. He spent the 2024 season doing a variety of media roles, with Hudson serving a role in his work with ESPN and Underdog Fantasy.<\/p>\n North Carolina hired Belichick as coach in December 2024.<\/p>\n UNC was in discussions to be featured in NFL Films\u2019 \u201cHard Knocks\u201d documentary series, which would have focused on a college football team for the first time. The partnership didn\u2019t come to fruition, with Hudson playing an instrumental role in talks breaking down<\/a>.<\/p>\n (Photo: Jared C.
