KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 Fans packed the “New Heights” Tailgate outside Kansas City’s Power & Light District on Sunday as the Chiefs prepared to host a Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n
The tailgate provided fans with free food, games, Kelce brothers merchandise and more. <\/p>\n
Courtney Gronberg, with Platinum XP, helped produce the event. She said the brothers wanted to throw the event to celebrate the Super Bowl rematch. <\/p>\n
“So we transformed the street here outside of Power and Light,” Gronberg said. <\/p>\n

Attendees traveled from near and far for the one-day-only event.<\/p>\n
One fan and his family traveled from Houston. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have friends that live here, and we been coming back every year,” said Chiefs fan Daniel. “My wife used to live here, so she\u2019s a big Chiefs fan, and now I\u2019m a Chiefs fan, even though I\u2019m from Houston. We\u2019ve enjoyed it ever since. And now, we have the new one to add into the party here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Some Eagles fans didn’t have to travel far for Sunday’s event. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re Missouri Eagles fans, so we\u2019re usually outcasts, but [we] fit right in here at ‘New Heights.’ So it\u2019s been good,” the Merriman family said. <\/p>\n
Others were fans of both brothers, making it hard to decide who to cheer on. <\/p>\n
Lisa, from Minnesota, came in her split Chiefs and Eagles jersey to root for both.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the Kelce brothers, like love them,” she said. “Obsessed with ‘New Heights,’ not going to lie. Anything Kelce, I\u2019m a huge fan of. My husband bought me this shirt for my birthday, and I had to wear it today; I\u2019ll be happy no matter who wins.\u201d<\/p>\n
