However, NFL franchises saw things differently, more akin to how mock drafters expected things to go in the preseason.<\/p>\n<p>Though former Michigan football tight end Colston Loveland had a limited 2024 due to injuries sustained in Week 3, he was still the first tight end off the board in the draft, taken by the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/chicago-bears\/326\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Chicago Bears;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Chicago Bears<\/a> with the No. 10 overall pick in this year&#8217;s draft. And now it&#8217;s officially official.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>According to ESPN&#8217;s Adam Schefter, Loveland has signed a four-year contract worth $26.6 million over the course of the contract. It is fully guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p>Loveland was the primary recipient of the Michigan pass game, with 56 pass receptions for 562 yards and five touchdowns in just 10 games.
