Aftering taking down the Washington Commanders on “Thursday Night Football” to open Week 2, the Green Bay Packers<\/a> got a chance to sit back and watch the action from across the NFL on Sunday. So, what happened around the league? A few Packers-related things, actually, including an NFC North battle and a couple of important notes on upcoming opponents.<\/p>\n

A quick look at games around the NFL in Week 2:<\/p>\n

Lions<\/a> rebound, Bears fall to 0-2<\/p>\n

The Lions bounced back from a season opening loss to the Packers, scoring seven touchdowns in a 52-21 win over the Chicago Bears at Ford Field. Jared Goff threw five touchdown passes, and the Lions gained over 500 yards — making Green Bay’s defensive dominance in the opener look even better. The Bears, meanwhile, are 0-2, with a pair of NFC North losses to start the season. Ben Johnson’s first season in Chicago — which already includes a Week 1 meltdown and a 31-point defeat — could go off the rails early. The Bears face the Cowboys next Sunday.<\/p>\n

Browns<\/a> fall to 0-2, Flacco struggles<\/p>\n

The Browns, who host the Packers in Week 3, gave up 21 fourth-quarter points and lost 41-17 to Lamar Jackson and the Ravens<\/a>. Joe Flacco threw a pick (returned 61 yards) and lost a fumble (returned 63 yards for a touchdown) and was pulled in the fourth quarter for rookie Dillon Gabriel. The Browns are still expected to start Flacco, who is 40 years old, against the Packers in Week 3. A rested pass-rush with Micah Parsons inching closer to full-time availability could feast.<\/p>\n

Burrow hurt<\/p>\n

The Packers host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. Will Joe Burrow be under center? The Bengals quarterback suffered a toe injury on Sunday and didn’t return. Early reporting suggests Burrow has a turf toe injury and will miss multiple weeks. Packers-Bengals is about a month away. Backup Jake Browning led the Bengals back for a win on Sunday, pushing Cincinnati to 2-0.<\/p>\n

Crazy Cowboys comeback<\/p>\n

Kenny Clark and the Cowboys had a wild ride on Sunday. A back-and-forth showdown with the Giants ended up in overtime, and a Russell Wilson interception in the extra session set up a walk-off winner for the Cowboys, who avoided an 0-2 start. Dak Prescott threw for 361 yards and had a key scramble late, while Clark got his first sack with the Cowboys. The Packers go to Dallas for what should be an eletric atmosphere in two weeks.<\/p>\n

Eagles survive in KC<\/p>\n

Too early to start thinking about playoff seeding? The defending champion Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> are now 2-0 after going into Kansas City and beating the Chiefs. As of the late afternoon results, the teams in the NFC at 2-0 are the Packers, Eagles, Rams<\/a>, Cardinals<\/a> and Rams, with the Vikings<\/a> and Buccaneers<\/a> having a chance to join them.<\/p>\n
