Denver Broncos<\/a> quarterback Bo Nix had a much better game against the Indianapolis Colts<\/a> in Week 2, after beginning the season with a pretty dismal three-turnover game against the Tennessee Titans<\/a>. Nix finished the Colts game 22-of-30 passing for 206 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.<\/p>\n

Former NFL quarterback and current armchair quarterback analyst Tim Jenkins broke down Nix’s performance against the Colts on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

The first play Jenkins reviewed was the first of three touchdown passes by Bo Nix; this one to Marvin Mims. “First clip I got for you guys is a little Mims TD dime, out of the gate on the breakdown,” said Jenkins. “Look at this thing. It is as easy as it gets from a scheme standpoint… Give your guy a shot. That is such a good football.”<\/p>\n

Although Nix threw an interception (a decision Jenkins lamented, as the Broncos<\/a> went 0-3 on deep over routes), Jenkins believes the Broncos<\/a> could have, and should have been 2-0.<\/p>\n

In all, Jenkins praised the game plan by head coach Sean Payton. “That was one of the better design games that I’ve seen so far out of this Broncos team, going back to last season, too,” said Jenkins. “I thought it was really great design. I thought they were stressing the defense in the right manner. So to me, it was exciting. I thought it was a good step in the right direction.”<\/p>\n

Nix hopes to continue on an upward trajectory in Week 3 when Denver goes on the road to face the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>. After that, the Broncos will return home to host the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> in Week 4.<\/p>\n
