Fans aren’t debating Tagovailoa’s assessment, but they questioned whether the Dolphins quarterback was overly complimentary of his AFC East rival.<\/p>\n

Tagovailoa has zero.<\/p>\n Tagovailoa hasn’t reached 75 rushing yards in a single season since tallying a career-high 128 in 2021. Allen, on the other hand, has 89 through the 2025 campaign’s first two games.<\/p>\n Even if Tagovailoa possessed that same athleticism, the Dolphins probably wouldn’t want him venturing outside the pocket nearly as much as Allen. While Allen hasn’t missed a game <\/a>since his 2018 rookie season, the Miami quarterback has suffered multiple concussions throughout his career.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Tagovailoa was never celebrated for his arm strength, even when he led the NFL in passing in 2023.
