Terrell is considered “week-to-week” after he left last Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. Morris said the Falcons would hold Terrell out of practice, and they did. So, the veteran cornerback’s status wasn’t much of a surprise.

However, there were other notable developments that showed up on the Falcons’ Wednesday injury report.

Along with Terrell, edge rusher James Pearce Jr., tight end Charlie Woerner and wide receiver Jamal Agnew did not participate in practice. Pearce’s groin injury is not new, though. He showed up throughout Week 2’s injury report with the same soft tissue issue. And yet he still played in 36% of the Falcons defensive snaps against Minnesota, and played well for that matter. For context, he played in 40% of the defensive snaps in Week 1. So, Pearce’s inclusion this week on the injury report could be precautionary more than anything.

Meanwhile, Woerner is working through an ankle injury. His playing time went up significantly from Week 1 to Week 2 — going from 42% of the offensive snaps to a whopping 85% — as Atlanta used more 12 personnel to better support its run game. How Woerner progresses through this week’s practices will be an indicator of the seriousness of his injury.

The Falcons did get a good report from wide receiver Casey Washington, who’s been in the league’s concussion protocol since early last week. After not participating in practice prep for Minnesota, Washington started this week in limited fashion. A player must be cleared from the protocol and practice as a full participant in at least one practice prior to a game in order to be fully greenlit.

You can view Wednesday’s injury report for the Falcons below, and view the full breakdown for both Atlanta and Carolina here.

 Wednesday, Sept. 17

WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder)
S DeMarcco Hellams (hamstring)
ILB Kaden Elliss (neck)
OL Jack Nelson (calf)
WR Casey Washington (concussion)

WR Jamal Agnew (groin)
CB A.J.
