Giants coach Brian Daboll said Thursday that Thomas, coming back from Lisfranc surgery, \u201ctook a lot of reps\u201d on Wednesday and came through practice well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cIt\u2019s a good sign,\u201d Daboll said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Daboll said that Thomas would follow the same regimen on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cHe\u2019ll do the exact same thing he did yesterday, basically,\u201d Daboll said. \u201cHe took a lot of reps, he\u2019ll take a lot of them today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cIt\u2019s just a positive sign with how many reps he did take yesterday that he\u2019ll do the same thing today, or similar. Not backing way off or anything like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Daboll did not commit to Thomas starting Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Giants\u2019 home opener.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cI think it\u2019ll go all the way up to tomorrow, see where he\u2019s at, see how he feels,\u201d Daboll said. \u201cHe has to feel the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Linebacker Darius Muasau (concussion protocol) and edge defender Chauncey Golston (ankle) will not practice on Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Andrew Thomas is moving closer to making his 2025 debut for the New York Giants.
