The Green Bay Packers look like not only NFC North favorites, but NFC conference favorites due to the incredible way they’ve started the season. But an injury at a key position could leave them thin as they close out September.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Kraft suffered a knee injury in practice today. His knee will reportedly be evaluated but the team believes it’s not a long-term issue.<\/p>\n

“#Packers<\/a> TE Tucker Kraft, who had his breakout game against the #Commanders<\/a> with 124 yards and a TD, suffered a left knee injury today today\u2019s practice, per The Insiders. Kraft will have it fully evaluated, but the belief is it\u2019s not a long-term issue,” Rapoport wrote on X.<\/p>\n

As Rapoport mentioned, Kraft had a phenomenal game for the Packers against the Washington Commanders last week. His 124 yards were not only a career-high, they were the most by any Packers tight end in years.<\/p>\n

Through just two weeks, Kraft leads all Packers pass catchers in receiving. His eight receptions for 140 yards and two touchdowns are all the most on the team.<\/p>\n

Suffice it to say, an injury that sidelines Kraft for any length of time is likely to be felt.<\/p>\n

State of the Packers<\/p>\n

Green Bay opened the season with a 27-13 win over the the Detroit Lions, avenging last year’s season sweep and looking very good in the process.<\/p>\n

A few days later, the Packers followed up that impressive win with an even more impressive victory over the Washington Commanders. While the 27-18 win seems like a close game, everyone agreed that the Packers dominated the game.<\/p>\n

As it stands, the Packers now rank near the top of the NFL’s odds to make – and win – Super Bowl LX.<\/p>\n
