Egbuka is off to a fast start, catching eight passes for 96 yards and three touchdowns for the Buccaneers in the first two games of his NFL career.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll be good to see him. He\u2019s having a great start to his career. I\u2019m happy for him,\u201d Wilson said Thursday.<\/p>\n

Egbuka was only a freshman during Wilson\u2019s junior season at Ohio State, part of an absurdly deep receivers room that included Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Cardinals, Chris Olave of the Saints and Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seahawks.<\/p>\n

Those Buckeyes reached the national championship game, losing to Alabama.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why we chose Ohio State,\u201d the Jets\u2019 No. 1 receiver said. \u201cWe all didn\u2019t know it at the time. They built something special over there. All of us were just going about our business, being competitive, being who we are. Five, six years later, I\u2019m looking around the league, and there\u2019s a lot of us. \u2026 It was a helluva room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Egbuka (hip\/groin) hasn\u2019t practiced this week.<\/p>\n

Wilson on quarterback and close friend Justin Fields, who has been ruled out this week due to a concussion:<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw him this morning, I saw him [Wednesday]. He\u2019s [doing] well.\u201d Wilson said. \u201cThat\u2019s a tough guy. I\u2019m sure they had to tell him, \u2018Nah, bro, you can\u2019t [play].\u2019 He\u2019s just a warrior. I\u2019m sure he wants to be out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jets could be without two starters, wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hamstring) and edge rusher Jermaine Johnson (ankle), on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Both continued to be out of practice Thursday. Reynolds was inactive in Sunday\u2019s loss to the Bills.<\/p>\n

Defensive lineman Jay Tufele (illness) and running back\/kick returner Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) also remained out.<\/p>\n

Safety Tony Adams (hip), cornerback Michael Carter II (shoulder) and linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring) were all limited.
