There were rumors and speculation this past offseason about whether or not Jordan would stick around in New Orleans since he’s in his final year of his contract. Now, the Saints are in a position to make one of the most shocking moves and trade Jordan, who doesn’t want to play anywhere else but New Orleans.

Originally selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, the former California product is getting up there in age, and that alone might be another reason why the Saints might not compensate his next deal. Once it comes down to it, they’re not letting Jordan walk in free agency without at least dealing him to a team that will give them the best offer. No one should put it past the Saints to not see this trade as the veteran is still looking to earn a Super Bowl ring. After recording 123 sacks, 720 total tackles and 11 fumble recoveries, Jordan should be able to get plenty of trade interest if the Saints find themselves out of the playoff picture.

Main Photo: Matthew Hinton-Imagn Images
Saints Long-Time Veteran Cameron Jordan Could Be On Trade Block – 3 Possible Contenders May Emerge
Potential Destinations
Dallas Cowboys

While the Dallas Cowboys did sign veteran Jadeveon Clowney to increase the pass-rush unit for the team, they might not be done yet. Jerry Jones said he is open for business, and this could mean a lot of things in circulating trades. Even though they must focus most of their energy on improving the secondary unit that lost DaRon Bland and now potentially Trevon Diggs to injuries, they should continue to salvage the defensive line. The Cowboys can’t afford to let their secondary be the joke of their defense, but what Matt Eberflus can benefit from is being more aggressive, and the way they do this is by trading for Cameron Jordan.

While they have been playing a lot of zone on the Cowboys’ defense, things can always change, and it means a more aggressive approach might be viable. Jordan isn’t in his prime anymore, but he would be able to help Dante Fowler Jr., who has had a rough back-to-back weeks so far, while Clowney helps Sam Williams on the other end.

Los Angeles Chargers

However, the Los Angeles Chargers still have one of the most dominant pass-rushing units despite losing Khalil Mack and Denzel Perryman. They have plenty of depth to use on defense, but it’s hard to imagine that they lean on Da’Shawn Hand for the longevity of their defensive end unit. Jordan is the obvious upgrade in this situation and can help bolster a true trenches room.

Washington Commanders

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders are building an old-school roster to maximize the prime of quarterback Jayden Daniels. Even after losing Deatrich Wise to a season-ending injury, the Commanders were able to clean it up and re-sign Preston Smith for possibly one last run before his eventual retirement. Why not add another and get Jordan in the mix while the Commanders have Bobby Wagner and Von Miller to create a true veteran unit?

Since the New Orleans Saints are unsurprisingly not contenders this 2025 campaign, the team could move on and…

[2076
6867,5403,436,9084,7,4893,3278,2453,896,55,401,2572,2571,6,3788,397,6211,10421
0":"post-385637","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-orleans-saints","8":"tag-cameron-jordan","9":"tag-chargers-featured","10":"tag-dallas-cowboys-news","11":"tag-dante-fowler-jr","12":"tag-football","13":"tag-jadeveon-clowney","14":"tag-khalil-mack","15":"tag-los-angeles-chargers-news","16":"tag-new-orleans","17":"tag-new-orleans-saints","18":"tag-new-orleans-saints-news","19":"tag-neworleans","20":"tag-neworleanssaints","21":"tag-nfl","22":"tag-preston-smith","23":"tag-saints","24":"tag-saints-featured","25":"tag-washington-commanders-news
["GET
