San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to reporters ahead of Wednesday’s practice and revealed that quarterback Brock Purdy<\/a> will be a limited participant, signaling continued progress in his recovery from a toe injury.<\/p>\n Purdy was limited in practice last week, but the injury kept him sidelined on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, marking his second consecutive missed game.<\/p>\n “He’s better today than he was on Sunday, and hopefully, that’ll keep continuing,” the coach said.<\/p>\n There is optimism that Purdy will suit up this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 49ers aim to improve their record to 4-0.<\/p>\n Purdy sustained the injury in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, where he completed 26-of-35 passes for 277 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his only on-field action this season.<\/p>\n Shanahan shared that the following players will not practice on Wednesday:<\/p>\n That’s several wide receivers missing from Wednesday’s practice.
