Bill Belichick and North Carolina have an easy way out of their troubled relationship.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And the date to keep an eye on is coming soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On June 1, the legendary football coach\u2019s buyout clause will drop from $10 million to $1 million, giving him an out from the top job in Chapel Hill and a much more palatable payment to the university should he bail on the Tar Heels.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The buyout was originally seen as a potential path for Belichick, who is on a five-year, $50 million contract with UNC<\/a>, to return to the NFL after striking out during the last two hiring cycles.\u00a0<\/p>\n Jordon Hudson has been a rather large part of Bill Belichick\u2019s next chapter at UNC. Getty Images<\/p>\n Shortly after she was spotted on the field during a spring practice, Belichick and Hudson came further under the microscope after his disastrous \u201cCBS Sunday Morning\u201d interview, in which she interrupted it multiple times and stopped the coach from answering a question about how the couple met.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Page Six reported<\/a> that Hudson allegedly \u201cforced\u201d her way into a Dunkin\u2019 Donuts commercial with Belichick, which aired during Super Bowl 2025.<\/p>\n The 24-year-old is dating the 73-year-old Bill Belichick, the football coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Getty Images<\/p>\n Then this week, Pablo Torre reported<\/a> that Hudson bombarded an Underdog Fantasy commercial set, making the crew film a version that featured her in a bikini by the pool with Belichick.<\/p>\n Torre alleged that Hudson had been banned<\/a> from Tar Heels practices, although UNC\u2019s athletics department released a statement disputing the claim.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,\u201d the school said. \u201cJordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick\u2019s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.\u201d<\/p>\n He also said Belichick\u2019s family is said to be \u201cextraordinarily concerned<\/a>\u201d in matters regarding Hudson and \u201cdigging into\u201d her as the feel she could be detrimental to his legacy. <\/p>\n
