FRISCO \u2014 During an interview with The Associated Press this week, Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons said it\u2019s going to be painful to sack his former teammate, quarterback Dak Prescott.<\/a><\/p>\n

On Thursday, Prescott responded to Parsons, saying, \u201cit\u2019s going to be painful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope it\u2019s not for me,\u201d Prescott said to laughter. \u201cAnd I hope he doesn\u2019t get to me, for one. Yeah, it\u2019ll be fun. It\u2019ll definitely be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cowboys host the Packers on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium in the first matchup since the blockbuster trade that sent Parsons to Green Bay <\/a>for a pair of first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. <\/p>\n

Prescott has dealt with former teammates facing him in the past. In 2023, Prescott\u2019s close friend, Ezekiel Elliott, returned to AT&T Stadium as a member of the Patriots.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the business of it,\u201d Prescott said. \u201cAt the end of the day, it\u2019s not Dak vs. Micah. It wasn\u2019t Dak vs. Zeke. Those are never the headlines and never can be. This is [the] Dallas Cowboys vs. the Green Bay Packers and we\u2019ve got to go get a win.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the teams meeting after the trade, some wondered if this game would bring closure to the summer-long drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cI doubt it will be the closure,\u201d Prescott said. \u201cI doubt [the media] is done with that. Some way, somehow it will get brought up again. Who knows? So excited to play him, excited to play this week. As I said, I think it\u2019ll be a fun banter back and forth with a hell of a competitor.\u201d<\/p>\n
