FRISCO \u2014 The Cowboys<\/a> might have a full complement of defensive players on Sunday night against the Packers. Well, minus Micah Parsons, who is now with the Packers.<\/p>\n

Instead, Jadeveon Clowney<\/a> will make his season debut, with team co-owner Stephen Jones saying Friday on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) that the pass rusher will get about 15 to 20 snaps.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s had a good week of practice,\u201d coach Brian Schottenheimer<\/a> said of Clowney before Friday\u2019s practice. \u201cWe have a dress rehearsal today and I know he\u2019s anxious and excited, again, just be part of the puzzle. He doesn\u2019t have to do anything superhuman, just go out there and play the defense. He\u2019s very, very excited. We\u2019ll see how it holds up and I\u2019m excited for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cornerback DaRon Bland, who missed the last two games with a foot sprain, said he\u2019ll play Sunday. <\/p>\n

Cornerback Trevon Diggs<\/a>, who is dealing with shoulder, hamstring and knee issues, should also play. Diggs said he almost didn\u2019t play in last week\u2019s game against Chicago because of a hamstring injury to his right leg. It\u2019s something he\u2019s been dealing with in the first month of the year. He left the Bears contest with a shoulder injury but later returned.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, we\u2019re all excited DaRon is coming back and Trey is dealing with some stuff like guys have to do,\u201d Schottenheimer said. \u201cLike I said, it\u2019s awesome to see him come back in the game last week. He got the shoulder dinged up and then to come back in and make a couple of physical plays, it was great to see. The best news of all is getting DaRon back \u2014 that gives you the flexibility of the things you need to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

On offense the Cowboys have two starters, receiver CeeDee Lamb<\/a> and guard Tyler Booker<\/a>, nursing foot injuries. Both players are wearing protective boots and could miss anywhere from four to six weeks. <\/p>\n

Stephen Jones said the team hasn\u2019t made a decision if Booker and Lamb will go on injured reserve\/return. If Booker or Lamb go on IR, the player will miss a minimum of four games. <\/p>\n

Jones agreed with his star quarterback that Sunday\u2019s game against Parsons and the Packers is not about closure.<\/p>\n

The production of starter Javonte Williams and backup Miles Sanders, part of a group averaging 125 yards per game, has limited Blue\u2019s chances to make a competitive game-day roster.<\/p>\n
