One of the most electric and jam-packed weekends on the sports calendar has arrived. Week 5 of the 2025 college football season will take center stage on Saturday with a slate full of ranked teams in action.<\/p>\n
The early window features a ranked-on-ranked matchup between No. 21 USC and No. 23 Illinois. The Trojans are off to a 4-0 start, while Illinois is coming off an embarrassing loss to Indiana last weekend. Meanwhile, No. 22 Notre Dame will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a matchup with the Razorbacks during the same window.<\/p>\n
Reigning national champion Ohio State will be in action on CBS at 3:30 p.m. ET against Washington. The No. 1-ranked Buckeyes will be playing on the road for the first time this season after starting 3-0 at home. In the same window, No. 4 LSU will take on Ole Miss in an intriguing clash of SEC foes.<\/p>\n
The late window will see two of the best games of the entire season. No. 6 Oregon will travel to Happy Valley for a date with No. 3 Penn State at 7:30 p.m. ET. During the same time, No. 17 Alabama will face No. 5 Georgia in a rematch of one of the best games of the 2024 season.<\/p>\n
