{"id":402995,"date":"2025-09-28T06:44:16","date_gmt":"2025-09-28T06:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/402995\/"},"modified":"2025-09-28T06:44:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-28T06:44:16","slug":"colts-rule-out-3-starters-for-game-vs-rams-associated-press","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/402995\/","title":{"rendered":"Colts rule out 3 starters for game vs. Rams | Associated Press"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>INDIANAPOLIS (AP) \u2014 The Indianapolis Colts will be missing three starters Sunday <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/colts-rams-preview-6b5309c789a78a8adffd70a045ebf5ac\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">against the Los Angeles Rams<\/a>, coach Shane Steichen said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II, receiver Alec Pierce and right guard Matt Goncalves were all ruled out.<\/p>\n<p>The Colts initially said Moore injured his calf in last weekend&#8217;s victory at Tennessee. The team clarified during the week that it was an Achilles tendon injury. Moore did not practice this week after returning an interception for a touchdown against the Titans.<\/p>\n<p>Pierce left last weekend&#8217;s game with concussion symptoms after appearing to hit his head while trying to make a leaping catch. He remains in the concussion protocol.<\/p>\n<p>Goncalves, a second-year player in his first season as a full-time starter, will sit out with an injured toe.<\/p>\n<p>Indy signed veteran cornerback Mike Hilton earlier this week to help fill the void left by Moore&#8217;s absence.
