New York Giants co-owner John Mara has revealed in a statement that he has been diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n
As per the statement, Mara has asked for privacy for he and his family, and he shared his intent to undertake treatment while still maintaining a presence at the Giants.<\/p>\n

I ask that you respect my privacy and my family\u2019s privacy at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n Mara has been a part of the New York Giants organization for 34 years, as per ESPN<\/a>, and he has held the position of President and CEO since 2005.<\/p>\n The Giants would go on to win the Super Bowl in 2007, two years after Mara became President and CEO.
