They will likely face them with a rookie starting quarterback.<\/p>\n Derek Carr, who has been their starter for the last two seasons, is retiring from the NFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n Carr was expected to miss the 2025 season, as he discovered a shoulder injury that would need surgery.<\/p>\n Carr was 1-2 in three starts against the Cardinals in his career, throwing four touchdown passes and no interceptions.<\/p>\n So who will be the starting quarterback for the Saints when the Cardinals face them? The door is open for rookie Tyler Shough, drafted in the second round, to be the guy.
