As the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles don’t have many needs that should keep them from being a top team in 2025.<\/p>\n
Despite dealing with numerous departures in free agency, the Eagles have a roster that is both young and full of depth at almost every position. Despite this, though, that doesn’t mean Philly should be pleased with where their roster is.<\/p>\n

General manager Howie Roseman is never really satisfied either.<\/p>\n
Pro Football Focus’s Trevor Sikkema understands that well. That’s why in an article detailing all 32 teams’ biggest needs, Sikkema believes that Philadelphia’s biggest need comes at edge rusher.<\/p>\n
And All-Pro pass rusher Matthew Judon would make a lot of sense.<\/p>\n
“This exercise doesn\u2019t apply to the Eagles, who once again have a stacked roster. Last season, they featured nine defensive linemen who earned a 69.0-plus PFF overall grade,” Sikkema wrote. “Losing Josh Sweat, who played the second-most snaps along the defensive line (821), means the unit needs others to step up. It could be a big year for Jalyx Hunt, who earned a 69.0 PFF overall grade in his rookie season.”<\/p>\n

Philadelphia has young edge rushers like Nolan Smith and Hunt to pick up the slack from Sweat’s departure. Finding a veteran to replace the likes of Brandon Graham, though, isn’t easy.<\/p>\n
It’s why Judon may be a perfect fit for the Eagles.<\/p>\n
Judon may not be the player he once was as a star with the New England Patriots, but the Eagles wouldn’t ask him to be. The team just needs to figure out a way to bolster their pass rush.<\/p>\n
And Judon would be an excellent fit.<\/p>\n
