The opening month of the 2025 NFL season<\/a> is in the books and the first slate of October games arrives with just two undefeated teams heading into Week 5. They also happen to be two of the preseason Super Bowl favorites<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> (4-0) and Buffalo Bills<\/a> (4-0) will be challenged on Sunday if some of the early picks and predictions are to be believed. Though both teams are favorites, the Eagles (hosting the Denver Broncos<\/a>) and the Bills (hosting the New England Patriots<\/a>) could be in dangerous spots. The first bye weeks of the year are also here, which means there are fewer matchups on the schedule around the country<\/a>. But there remain plenty of fun storylines with teams jockeying for position as separation starts to develop in the NFL standings<\/a>.<\/p>\n The intrigue begins with “Thursday Night Football” in Week 5 as the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> and Los Angeles Rams<\/a> put 3-1 records on the line in an NFC West tilt. Sunday features the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> (3-1) hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> (3-1) in another matchup of NFC contenders.
