It’s officially gut-check time for the Baltimore Ravens, and running back Derrick Henry wants all the smoke.<\/p>\n

With the Ravens’ injury list mounting on both sides of the ball, to the extent where it is nearly crippling, especially on defense, with Roquan Smith now listed as doubtful for Week 5 per ESPN<\/a>, to add to the host of players unavailable, it’s getting worse for the AFC North franchise.<\/p>\n

At a time when the Ravens are seeing their season go down the drain at 1-3, plus with the horror injury list, that is quite a bit of adversity that the locker room has to deal with.<\/p>\n

And Henry isn’t running away from it; he’s going headfirst into the fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cBring it on,” Henry said<\/a>. “I look at it with a positive mindset. We one and three. Ain’t nobody going to come out and do it for us. We got to go back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henry the offensive focus amid Lamar Jackson injury<\/p>\n

It has been reported that Lamar Jackson could miss between two and three weeks, so that means backup Cooper Rush could be in line to start against the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

That means that Henry could see an increased workload, with the All-Pro surprisingly not having more than 18 carries in a game in the first month of the season. Expect that to change if Lamar can’t play on Sunday, because Rush isn’t the type of quarterback who can throw it 30+ times and keep it out of harm’s way.<\/p>\n

Enter Henry and the Ravens’ supreme run game, which has to get rolling to take the offensive pressure off\u00a0Rush if he is to start.<\/p>\n

There is a lot of adversity aimed at the Ravens right now, and Henry might be the one to shoulder the offensive load and keep his team rolling towards the playoffs.<\/p>\n
