Las Vegas Raiders All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers<\/a> is trending toward not playing Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, NFL Network\u2018s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Bowers has been battling a knee injury that he suffered in Vegas\u2019 season opening loss to the New England Patriots. He currently ranks second on the team with 225 receiving yards, but he has yet to haul in a touchdown this season.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Las Vegas Raiders head coach\u00a0Pete Carroll\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0that he expected Bowers to suit up this weekend. That however doesn\u2019t quite look like the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe figure that he\u2019ll play,\u201d Carroll said. \u201cWe just wanted to make sure to rest him throughout (the week). We have him listed as questionable but we think he\u2019ll play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bowers\u00a0appeared<\/a>\u00a0to suffer the knee injury in that season opener when he absorbed a low blow near the sideline. On the next play, Bowers could be seen limping before walking off the field.<\/p>\n

Before leaving the game, Bowers tallied five catches for a team-high 103 receiving yards. While Bowers hasn\u2019t missed a game yet this season, he hasn\u2019t been able to put up the same numbers he notched in Week 1.<\/p>\n

Bowers has been spectacular for Vegas in first two seasons<\/p>\n

Brock Bowers led the Raiders with 112 catches for 1,194 receiving yards and five touchdowns last season. Bowers led all\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0tight ends in receptions and receiving yards. Additionally, Bowers\u2019 1,194 receiving yards were the most by any position in Raiders history.<\/p>\n

To pile on, Bowers\u2019 112 receptions were the most-ever by an\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0rookie, shattering a record set by\u00a0Puka Nacua<\/a>\u00a0only the previous year. During an appearance on\u00a0Bussin\u00a0With The Boys\u00a0in July, Bowers explained how his first season in the NFL differed from his time at\u00a0Georgia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just way different,\u201d\u00a0Bowers said<\/a>. \u201cIn college I feel like the coaches are trying to push you so hard because they have to and then in the NFL they\u2019re kind of like, \u2018You either do it or you\u2019re going to get cut. We don\u2019t care that much, we can have your replacement here tomorrow.\u2019 It\u2019s kind of a different mindset out of the coaches and the players.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 \u201cI\u2019m just really big into winning every single rep and like trying to do that in the offseason\u2026 During OTAs I\u2019m trying to do that and just pisses me off when I don\u2019t do that. So, it just pushes me to get better in every single facet I think. Because I feel like there\u2019s not one thing I did great, but not one thing I did super duper bad. I\u2019m just trying to elevate everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

The likely Bowers-less Raiders will look to have a strong showing on Sunday when they face off against the Colts at 1 PM ET. The game will air live on FOX.<\/p>\n
